HCMS Hosts Free HCM 101 Special Event Satellite for APPs and nonphysician HCM care professionals. HCMS has added a special free satellite designed to help nonphysician professionals describe the pathophysiology and clinical presentation of oHCM, including the mechanisms of left ventricular outflow tract obstruction and common symptoms that prompt evaluation; identify key diagnostic strategies for oHCM, including the role of history, physical examination and echocardiographic with provocative maneuvers; and apply practical strategies for implementing and managing a cardiac myosin inhibitor clinic, including patient selection and medication.  The program takes place Nov. 6, from 5:00 pm- 6:15 pm, in Room 405a of McCormick Place. It will be followed by the poster reception which attendees are welcome to stay for.  Attendance is free. Please obtain your registration code by emailing info@hcmsociety.org. (more)

HCMS Names Scott Solomon as the 2026 Eugene Braunwald, MD, Lecturer.  Solomon is the Edward D. Frohlich Distinguished Chair, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He received his A.B. from Williams College and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School.  (more)
